Cima Corgo (En: Above Corgo) is located in the middle of Douro Region and has a total area of 95.000 Hectares, being the second biggest subregion (38% of Douro’s area). It’s also the largest subregion in planted vineyard with a total of 19.000 hectares of vineyards (22%), centred around the village of Pinhão, and where the majority of the famous Quintas (en:farms) are located.
